This landmark exhibition took you on a journey through NMoQ’s 50–year history, beginning when the museum was known as the Qatar National Museum (QNM). It featured rare exhibits from that period, which had not been displayed since the closure of the old museum alongside reimagined iconic pieces that highlighted the forward-thinking spirit of contemporary local artists.

Through archival photographs, videos, personal stories, foundational documents, and new artistic responses, this 50th anniversary exhibition celebrated not only the past 50 years but also a future that was ever-evolving and that bridged generations, cultures, and ideas.
