TYPES OF TOURS
Our school tours, which range from 60 to 90 minutes in length, take students through the museum, its objects, and its stories.
STUDENT ACTIVITY BOOKLETS
Teachers wishing to self-guide their students at the museum can do so with the assistance of our Student Activity Booklets.
Available at the front desk on arrival, these engaging resources enable students to explore the museum displays in small groups or individually.
Booklets have been created for kindergarten, primary and secondary students and cover the following topics:
- Natural History, Archaeology, Transport & Navigation, Life on Land & Sea, Customs & Celebrations.

This tour lasts 90 minutes and gives your students a comprehensive overview of the museum and its stories. Three main topics are explored:
- The natural history of Qatar.
- The social, cultural and oral histories of Qatar and its people.
- The foundation of modern Qatar and vision for the future.
NMoQ HIGHLIGHTS TOUR
This tour lasts 60 minutes and introduces students to the highlights of the museum. Come and see prehistoric animals, a gigantic whale shark, ancient forts and glittering pearls.BOOK A GUIDED TOUR
NMoQ GREEN TOUR
This tour lasts 60 minutes and takes place in the gardens.
Students get to identify local plants and herbs which grow in different parts of the country. The history of plant and herbal use in traditional medicine is also explained.
NMoQ PUBLIC ART
This tour lasts 60 minutes and introduces your students to the vibrant modern artwork on display at the museum.
